Cheers gang.
Don't really want to go down th route of licenses and certifications and all that, just simple PTT walkies. Multi channels and with HZ powers and extra long aerials all go over my head a bit.
However I'll go stalk the Baefongs and see what comes up.

Any suggestions on multi handset PTT walkies?
I'm after something that doesn't need massive distance or anything fancy, just a simple PTT comms kit.
Any links or suggestions to something you guys may already use?

Re: I’m new hello

Re: Wide mouthed Stainless thermos..
Got a bog standard one from Argos. Just rinse well, soak in hot & soapy, then wash thoroughly - a big bottle brush can help with that. If it smells, I leave it standing filled with water & a tablespoon of bicarb. Anything I have like that, if it's stored long term, it gets a tablespoon of b...

Re: 27 years in the woods!
Has anyone else read this? "The Good Life: Up the Yukon without a Paddle" by Dorian Amos. It describe a Cornish couple's first year in the Yukon in the 21st century. Plenty to ponder for off-gridders and preppers . I have trouble imagining how tough it would be living in a Yukon winter le...

27 years in the woods!
Yes, there seems to be a lot of theft, but imagine doing 27 years in the woods!! Seems like we all need to stoc up on booze! "His first goal was to get fat. This was a life-or-death necessity. "I gorged myself on sugar and alcohol," he said. "It’s the quickest way to gain weight,...
