Re: Thoughts please
If you are bugging out, a 2 person tent is better More space to hold you both and all your kit, cuddle up for warmth, cook in etc. And if you are bugging out, you are probably doing a watch system where one sleeps when the other is on guard. Plus, you want to be able to discuss plans, and these cou...

Separate means it's harder to communicate, or you need to shout. Not so discreet after all. Two bivis and tarps will soon add up in cost and weight. My gut feeling is a lightweight two or 3 person double walled tent. One of you can carry the inner, and one the outer, though you can divide weight in ...

In theory I could shoot ducks and geese, but I only have a catapault at the moment. Bow and arrows would do it. With a slingshot and a 10/12 mm BB you can take down pheasants/ducks/squirrels etc. with no problem (subject to to being an accurate shot of course) much more reliable method of hunting t...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 11
I've had a space blanket in my FAK since the early 1970s. Not the same FAK obviously. Just the thin ones that pack down small. They might tear, but they do the job. They aren't designed to protect you from a storm. I do have a green one that's probably the stronger type, but it got rejected from my...
