Re: Powdered egg ?
Can anyone recommend a safe place to buy powdered eggs (or a manufacturer), with shelf life 10-20 years?

Re: Krank/batteries DAB/FM radio
REALLY glad I’ve read all of this - I’ve got this: sitting in my Amazon ‘save for later’ that I was going to buy this week. Sounds like you’ve all just saved me £36.99! Looks like I need to be looking at decent solar charging options instead. Yes please to starting that thread jennyjj01 :D Absolute...

Re: Glad to be here, and full of hope.
Hi and welcome from Cheshire. Lots to learn here, and a friendly crowd. Have a mooch around and throw out a few questions or answers of your own. What sort of scenarios are you prepping for and what steps are you taking? There's no right or wrong ways, so long as we get a little bit more secure tha...

Re: Krank/batteries DAB/FM radio
Hi Odin, My limited experience with a hand crank/solar 'last resort' radio is that they are a very poor investment . Crank run time is minimal and painful and the built in solar panel is laughably useless. Even on a bright sunny day, you might get 20 mins run time per day from solar alone. Invest i...

Re: Krank/batteries DAB/FM radio
In not talking about small solar panels ;) I've one of these for example : https://www.amazon.co.uk/Portable-Foldable-Charger-Generator-Off-Grid/dp/B0CGZ8H2VZ/ref=asc_df_B0CGZ8H2VZ?mcid=51bc60abdb213a858f41017669700fdf&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=697230221025&hvpos=&hv...

Re: Krank/batteries DAB/FM radio
Thanks, I don’t believe those tiny solar panels would really work, and what if it’s not sunny outside at all for days. But a wind up one — as a last resort, if I run out of batteries or other power sources. Now I see the Midland ER310 or ER300 (for the EU market) are mentioned by CNN as best in 2024...

Glad to be here, and full of hope.
Starting on a new journey, especially one that involves navigating through heaps of information, can feel a bit like stepping into a maze without a map. That’s exactly where I find myself right now—new to preppering and admittedly a little overwhelmed. The sheer volume of advice, strategies, and per...

Krank/batteries DAB/FM radio
My first post and the question most likely has already been asked in the past.
Has anyone had some experience on the topic, and could share, with the radio in question. I was looking up on Amazon, and find quite a lot negative reviews on radios I liked. Any input much appreciated.
