Little miss alerts me... This was a panic shout hence I was up off my arse at the first shout id herd a pop like someone poppinga bag of crisps ..

You did so well on that, you really did. My own fire preps have taken a leap forward since you started posting in detail about fires, and I thank you for those posts.

Totally agree that video when you watch it is pretty scary kids in the house not knowing what type of fire etc your worst nightmare ..someone moved pretty damned sharpish Andy ! Levitation off that chair

Smoke alarms checked carbon monoxide monitor checked everything switched off when not in use ...

You know your kids voice that was one of panic so I knew something was wrong hence I got up quick ..before fire came out her mouth.. knew it wasn't little brother being a prat as he was with me downstairs moments before he had been ramming a paw patrol submarine I to my feet

Fortunately still had my combat boots on as Mrs A was at work and I could get away with it ment my feet were protected

I was going to write the point just below, but I couldn't resist the paw patrol submarine

This is the bit that took my eye first. Even in the summer, I never walk around in bare feet or socks, I always have fairly sturdy indoor shoes on (my current "slippers" are actually an old pair of boots that belonged to my sister. They're falling apart, but they do me). It does mean I could run safely, wouldn't be in such immediate danger from flames, and wouldn't be immediately soaked if I had to run outside in the rain.
