If I woke up tomorrow and a loaf of bread was £300 I'd bake my own. If I lived in a large city I'd move now, not wait until some disaster hit and then try and leave with tens of thousands of others doing the same.
This isn't necessarily directed at you but I've read post after post where people seem to have some idyllic mad max style ideology that we're pending imminent doom and they'd fight their way out of a city, taking their family and loved ones with them and go and live in the countryside.
If you truly believe what you say, why stay where you are? Why not make life changing decisions now and protect your family?

however i am not in a fincial postition to up and move into the sticks
if i had the money i would without a second thought
i live a bout 1mile from the city center and things are goioing to MAD if things turn sour
moving is one of my top priorities
but with my thoughts on social collapse etc
i have gooten my family into a few new hobbies which are great for family time
so if nothing happens we have some new hobbies and bonded as a family unit
