hello and welcome .
the best advice i can give is ,, start small but think big .
a few extra bits in the usual shopping soon add up to a big stock of supply`s , just remember to rotate your stock . first in first out .

Thank you, already getting lots of ideas reading all the forum posts
I'm hoping to stock up on food and water first and foremost, where is the best place to store water and tins etc?

Tins - somewhere dry and cool, not too many temperature fluctuations. And out of sight of prying eyes.PrepMumma4 wrote:Thank you, already getting lots of ideas reading all the forum posts![]()

Water - as above regarding temp and dark - light will cause algae to grow!

hello and welcome .
1. Do you have any camping equipment i.e gas stove, mess tins etc these will be useful for your preps.
2. when food shopping take advantage of special offers on tinned food you like and buy more for your stores.
3. Read the forum, there is so much useful stuff on here.
4. remember the journey of a thousand miles starts with one foot step. In other words don't let it overwhelm you.
BTW I grew up in kent near Sittingbourne, mum was the original prepper Larder had about six months food in it all the time.
