North Lincs newbie

Post by Lincslad »

Hi guys I'm a newbie to prepping, I'm looking for people in my area / ish with an interest in Bush craft and outdoors survival aspect of prepping to discuss and share ideas and potentialy locate good areas and practise skills together etc, I'm a firm believer that knowledge is power and having some millitary experience (British army) I would prefer to prep by increasing my skill and knowledge base in an informal social way to start with as some of the more extreme prepping doesn't appeal to me yet . I'm a male of 26 living in north Lincolnshire and im looking for somebody to actively share ideas and learn new skills with regardless of age or sex. Feel free to get in touch. I'm looking forward to becoming a prepper

It's always good to spend some time getting to knowing people through the forum and they can get to know you.
Preppers can be suspicious of people who jump in immediately wanting to meet other preppers in their area. For all we know you might be after our preps in a shtf situation! :| We try to maintain OPSEC.

Anyhow, stick around, muck in and who knows what might happen!

Ha ha fair play but as already stated I'm only interested in learning skills and knowledge as my personal belief is that wshtf it's those things that can not be taken away from you regardless of what situation your in. Stash holes and bug out plans etc aren't really my thing as experience in civilian and millitary situations have proved that wshtf even the best plans fall apart (personal viewpoint) . I'm very interested in learning about uses of plant life for food / medical / admin purposes and wildlife also things regarding shelter building etc in my opinion it's these things you can never know enough about and I know very little on these subjects other than the basics :? . Look forward to mucking in and learning from people. Can anybody recommend a good value for money Bush knife? I would like to go pretty big as I feel I will use one tool as knife and axe and would prefer a full tang but can't afford to go into the hundreds just yet, I appreciate a good blade and the Work required to achieve quality but some of the prices as most of you know are completely eye watering :D
