Spray on plasters
Re: Spray on plasters
Yep I was referring to something else entirely, it's important to know the difference between spray on plasters and surgical cyanoacrylate.Devonian wrote:Various spray plasters/second skin products available on amazon a more affordable cost:

Spray on plasters use chemicals that are for external use only, so can't be used on anything more than scrapes or small cuts. You'll also see a disclaimer somewhere that says you shouldn't use them for more than a week or a few days. The same goes for the spray on antiseptic that uses iodine (comes out yellow/orange) because you can't expose your internal bits and pieces to things like iodine and benzalkonium chloride.
The expensive stuff I linked is a surgical grade cyanoacrylate, which is used inside your body quite safely. It's regularly used in surgery where staples or sutures are a bad idea or difficult to apply. It's also very handy for large cuts, slices, gashes and slightly more serious injuries. So it's a good thing to have if you're not going to be getting medical attention anytime soon and need to plug a hole you've managed to make in yourself.
