Do you have a link for the one at that price, my pals looking for her own, the cheapest i saw on evilbay for an EU supplier was from Germany at £146.02, the rest are from the States and customs is a pain

Good that you are comfortable upcycling your jam jars, i do too for Jam that never last long in my house, but i'm not to keen on risking botulism with my weans when it come to long term storage, do you have a link for cheaper Kilners or other tried and tested makes ?

@vassili Thank you for your encouragement, it 's something we was looking into since last year, only now have certain opportunities presented themselves, so we are jumping through all the hoops now as they say.

@Wildfire We are going to be priced well below that, I have made a promise to all on here, and at large, that we shall provide a price that can make this craft a viable one, if we can't, we won't bother. It proves my point that, over here, suppliers are taking advantage of the fact that there isn't much choice for the consumer, and they know very well that to go overseas isn't really viable after the shipping charges and, if a large quantity, the import charges are applied!!! Thank you for trying though, your heart is in the right place, but just have a bit of patience with us and I'm sure you will be highly delighted. ;)

@kizzie Totally agree with you on the price kizzie, we are moving along, and hopefully, you won't have to wait much longer. It's frustrating for us as well, that we can't have something here for you all right now, but as I have said we are still negotiating price for the jars. I am confident that the new proposal that we have will be successful, and that, after a few months, we can drive the cost to you down even further. be careful though with the jam jars.

All I ask guys is have a little patience/faith with us.

All the best,

Daz

The link to mine is on this thread somewhere go to the seller and see how much he is charging now I can't remember off hand. Mine came really fast and no problems at all.

I'm not going to be reusing jam jar type jar, lids, will get them new and use older ones for my dehydrated food and non food items to keep them dry. Sealing them in my vacuum jar/bag sealer.

I look out for specials on killer the Range sometimes does them cheap and lakes and when the sale is on. Or on ebay second hand and buy new lids for them.

@kizzie Ah!, you got it from the states, you where quite lucky to not be stung when collecting it for more duty, as that is what often happens, not willing to take the risk tbh, would rather use UK supplier and have ease of transaction and a much easier course of action should anything be faulty ;)

@ mOtty called friend and told her what your planning, she's going to hold off and see what you can do, she can use mine until then :D

Can I ask you all what jar sizes would you prefer, I ask this because we may be able to, further down the line, have our own brand of jars made. It will also in the meantime help us to source so all your needs are met. As you all know the 1L & 500Ml are ready available, but contacting Kilner later today for other sizes.
Stay safe, stay prepared.
