Proper preparation prevents poor performance.

This is the mantra I live my life by and being prepared is an acceleration and let factor in succeeding in any given situation.

That is why I prep, for anything and everything I can.

I think with such diverse issues in the world it'd be foolish to prepare for a single unlikely event... Take Doomsday Preppers: "I'm prepping for the eruption of the Yellowstone volcano!!". The chances are so remote... However, mix those remote chances with countless other potential scenarios and the odds become more of a real threat. With everything going on in the world, IS in Iraq, Putin invading Ukraine, we have enemies everywhere and it wouldn't take much to knock out our supplies of electric or oil. Either would result in there being a mass food shortage which would cause anarchy. So I guess that's what I'm preparing for: Anarchy. Civil unrest. The chavs of the world stealing, pillaging and raping for their survival and their entertainment.

If one of the countless scenarios that could cause this were to happen, I want to be able to feed my family and protect them from those who would see us do without to feed themselves and their own, or worse.
