Hi Everyone.
I am pretty new to the idea of prepping, but have been reading forums for a while now and this one seems the most relevant. I thought that it was time I joined so that I can pick the brains of the better prepared. I live on the Suffolk coast with my wife who is also keen on the idea of prepping, we both feel that the greatest current risks to us are power outages, extreme weather events (we were evacuated during the tidal surge last Dec), and global pandemics.
So far our only real prep has been to buy a 4wd car, but we are ready to take some more steps. I am a qualified paramedic so may be able to offer some useful posts on the medical/first aid topics, and have been into bushcraft and camping for years.

Hi and welcome Living in the UK this site is really relevant for us - compared to the many American sites which are useful but tend to talk about situations/climate/equipment which are less of an issue over here.
