Relative newbie to prepping form kent

Post by Tractor62 »

Hi all
As per title I'm relatively new to the idea of "prepping" however I've grown up in the countryside and worked on farms/forestry most of my life (31 years) so many of the things known to most as their edc (knife, string, fire lighting stuff, basic first aid kit ect)are things I've prety much always had fairly close to hand since I was a lad.being a country lad I've a reasonable amount of experience of building shelters, hunting, shooting(air rifles for the most part) and fishing. I've been really lucky in that I've lived in the same rural area all my life so know the land for about 5 miles in any direction from my home plus many acres of farm land that I used to work on and if the need really arose to "bug out" I'm fairly certain that I'd have a good number of options to keep me and my family safe, warm, fed and watered.
However imho it's always a good idea to learn from and share with others and that is why I've joined :)
Cheers Graham
