That's always my concern, how long and regularly it can be used
its a couple of years old know and had regular workouts , its more than earned its keep . but i don`t do many ,, lets just say ..in the field jobs anymore were i need that kind of power . i can generally get by with the little 850w thats easier to move around on my own .

I have a 1 kva Chinese job. I also have a 6.5 kva Honda site gennie. Both reliable. The little ' un is for lighting, the big 'un for the freezers and even the washing machine.

However, following the high winds the other night and subsequent loss of lecky (trees, insert your own mini disaster here ) our search for a new genny has been revitalised as alpha male had significant problems starting the old girl Just goes to show you need to test kit regularly to ensure optimum performance
Once the council have been paid the annual rip off fee for collecting rubbish and sending the occasional panda into the village we can focus on spending money more constructively.

As for the Lister have a look at you local fetes, young farmers events and agriculture show as they often have displays of static engines and I am sure if you spoke to one of the exhibitors they would be able to point you in the right direction of any parts you need for the refurb.

Ours does that as well (however, it is an opt-in collection).
They compost what they collect..... Then sell it back to us, cunning buggers
Just to balance things up. My council collects green waste for nothing and the compost made from it is available free, gratis and for nothing on a first come first served basis.
