now ive had camp mats of the foam eva rubber type (which are hard and bad on my aging back ... to the us army cot style beds *(which are cold on the back)* and on fairly even ground such as grass or a hard floor they are fantastic had a few cheaper ones but nothing as comfy as these... even in sub zero temperatures just had the bag laid over us like a duvet with a wool blanket on the Mat to soak up the sweat (that sounds grim doesnt it) but as a bug out bed where you would end up on a friends floor on in a sports hall i think they are worth every penny even with my 14+ stone "frame" Tried the vango 2.5cm one and my hip hit the floor not a issue with the 5cm

Pretty good, I had a mat for a while. Swapped it out for a towel I have, its a really high quality one my girlfriend gave me, had it for to years now.

last year I purchased a Aldi self inflating mat to use when I had my annual camp out. I used it as a mattress on my camp bed. I had a very comfortable sleep on the two and I would highly recommend it.
