Easy chaps.

Let's call it a statement that is "illuminating but untrue". Clearly not true for all Asians, everywhere, but illuminating in helping our friend prepper to meet his needs for packets of spices.

Ooh also around Divali, Eid etc you can pick up big bags of nuts a lot cheaper than normal in a few of the supermarkets if you have an Asian community around you, sadly I don't but my very good friend used to take our shopping lists and get his poor wife to get them for us! Not this year though as he's in Dubai :cry: he taught me to make chapatti, kind of! "Bit of this, bit of that, squish it together, slap it on a hot pan" :lol:

Back OT
The local Ethnic supermarkets have a fairly high turn-over of stock so the stuff tends to be fresher. also because they're mostly owner/operators its in their best interests to get repeat business (by being helpful or cutting you a deal, for examples).
