My new EDC pouch is coming along nicely. Added some keychain items to it including a USB stick with a suite of Portable Apps on it. It's starting to become more and more versatile to the point which makes me wonder how come I never had all my every day use items in one pouch before.

Emptied the loose change pot yesterday, 58 squids! Did a freezer filling shop today and have change. ;)

The Brambling wants a HOB. *sniff* *wipes eyes* I'm so proud! :D

A few more purchases, a 20000MaH (allegedly) battery bank from Mr Amazon, and of course you can't just go on and buy one thing so I got a digital meter to read the power going into 'stuff' from solar chargers etc. and a couple of minor bits and bobs. I also managed to get a huge stash of chillies from Asda that were reduced to 18p a packet, dehydrating as I type. :D

I'm also halfway through sorting out the man cave, I've got a load of my non food preps in there, still a work in progress. :(

Ooh! I bought the Westfalia dehydrator - haven't unpacked it yet  but this sort of thing is my goal!

Hey Deeps! Could you do a review of the battery bank when you get it please? I've been looking at an Aukey 20,000Mah jobbie to run the light recommended by Andy when I go camping.

Will do, I've got a few smaller ones, if I'm going any distance from home I usually have it with me, stuck it in a wee pouch I had. I get 1.8 charges on my phone out of it and the torch is surprisingly decent (I've always got at least one torch on me anyway, weirdo that I am  ). Its only 6400MaH but fairly compact.

You must be a weirdo if you have only got one torch on you. I took 4 out of my EDC pack the other day

Water has always been an issue for me and to source it i think you have to remain flexible.Have been buying the 15L bottles from amazon for a tenner plus just got two 100L water butts and hooked them up to the roof down pipes. also bought a sawyer mini filter which i think are excellent little things.

I know I'm like a broken record, but that Aukey battery has been brilliant for me. Such a useful little thing.

This week I've been considering winter, and how I will be getting ready for the crappy weather that is likely to befall us. Keeping warm, transport and stocking up on various food items will be considered.

I also feel like I need to reconsider my EDC since the one I have keeps me dry, but doesn't really keep me warm should I find myself stuck outside. Might make an EDC video - not that I think anyone will watch it, but I watch other people's all the time and fancy having a go. :D
