Right - my finding's for the last couple of weeks temporarily EDCing a few extras.
I've had my torch clipped into my left pants pocket and quite frankly, this has been the most useful little torch. It's just there - clip off clip on. I've used it
every single day. Now as it's darker earlier it comes in handy a lot. The one in my wallet, the Ti2 never get's a look in. Neither does my keyring Energiser light. I think I'm sticking with this.
And the knife, the Lansky has been in my left trouser leg of my combats. I've used it quite a few times. In fact, more than a few. It's very handy to have. I've found it useful mostly for opening packages and things, the usual. But I bought a cheap pound land charger the other day and the plastic around the nip was too fat to fit through the allotted hole in my protective case. I was able to just shave off some of the plastic and it works a charm now. I've also found that there are quite a few household tasks that it was useful for, which saved me going down stairs or back into the house from the garage to complete. I think that this big blade is actually a valid carry item. It's useful to have a dedicated, handily placed blade because even though my keyring mini champ would probably be suitable for 90% of the tasks I need it for, this thing is bigger, better weighted, easier to use and more convenient to grab.
Long story short, I'm going to keep carrying them for a while longer. If I find that I'm not using them, I'll drop them. But I think the reason I'm finding them so handy is the pocket clips - they just sit ready to go within easy reach.
In fact, I'm now thinking of looking for more legal carry blades and multitools that have a pocket clip like these do.
The pocket clip on this knife is really solid and hangs onto my pocket with just the right amount of reassuring purchase.
