Just came back from the Co-Op with 3 bags of reduced Bananas. They are perfect, can't understand why they're reduced! Anyhoo, I've just sliced them, dipped in a lemon juice/honey wash and we'll see how they go. I fancy crushing them into icecream.

Jansman, I haven't bothered with Oxygen Absorbers for some years unless I'm storing food long term(over a year). For the food I use on a regular basis, I just use a good airtight jar and store it in the dark. I have a lot of the old 1lb and 2lb Kilner Dual purpose jars that were my mum's. As they have great sentimental value I don't use them for bottling/canning anymore. But any jar would do as long as it's airtight. I would love some wide mouthed brown glass chemists jars for storing dehydrated stuff. They'd be the bits!
