I have returned.... not sure why I left tbh...

Post by TomW »

Hello all you wonderful people :)

Tom signing back in after (ahem) 4 years absence!
While my contributing ceased for a while prepping continued. New house, new career, another child... though he's not so much of a prep yet!
Anyways, I'm back and about to go have a read and see what I've been missing ;)

Welcome back. For me I go through times of thinking " I have been silly, nothing bad is gonna happen" but when I do i forget the times when I struggled and the skills and stocks I had in stock helped me through a hard time. So its good to keep your finger in so to speak.

There may or may not be any SHTF, but there will always be some stuff to deal with and lesser personal crises happen quite regularly IMHO.

Yup, and there's always that warm glow from knowing that you've got a ton of stuff pockled away for 'just in case'.

Cheers all :) It's good to see so many names I recognise, but also lots of new ones!

Too true Nick, but in the past 4 years we've had times where we've had no power, and been fine, when the waters been off, and been fine, been on our ass broke, and been fine, had an extended hospital stay, and been fine. It's those moments that come, in truth pretty regularly, where being prepared is so awesome. I believe that the potential for major events to occur is always there and what I aim to be prepared for but it all helps for the small stuff too :)
