A very dear friend saves glass jars for me to put home-made jam, chutney, etc. in.
She has recently delivered nearly 60 2 litre glass cider bottles (the one that look like a mini demijohn with one handle and a screw top) which I did not have the heart to refuse but are now almost filling my hallway.
Whilst I can use a couple for juice storage, has anyone got any ideas what I can use the rest for.
I am loath to dispose of them as I would not like to offend her and it seems such a waste but would like to use them if possible.
Storage is not a problem but it seems pointless to store them empty.
Suggestions gratefully received.

Re: Help and/or Suggestions sought
I read somewhere (on another prepping forum) that someone was using 2ltr lemonade bottles to store rice and grains in...could you perhaps use them, or some of them, for that?

I do that too, Itsy, think I posted it here. The only thing to remember doing that, is to check the lids aren't tainted with the smell of cider. You should be able to get new tops from Wilkinsons that fit.itsybitsy wrote:I read somewhere (on another prepping forum) that someone was using 2ltr lemonade bottles to store rice and grains in...could you perhaps use them, or some of them, for that?
