It's a knock of KFC ZINGER burger. This one used Seitan fake veggie meat, which is made from gluten. But I figure you could use tinned chicken or even fresh chicken. There's links back to my source recipes.
The Zinger flavour batter was different, but very tasty.

I was just doing a bit more research and I found an article that has looked at the research in a big way.steptoe wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 3:08 pmI fully agree with jansamn here do not use the internet to look up illnesses and treatments , you will first off be scared stiff i once had a G/F whos mum had the doctors encylopedia forgive the spelling and if you cough sneezed or said i got a ache she would have you with green parrot monkey illness lol , or have you thinking by the end of the chat you had just hours to live .jansman wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 10:53 amIt’s personal.Leave it with you.Frnc wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 10:47 am
A lot of the research is free to read on the net. I only use authoritative sources. Most of the time you can only read the abstract, but that's usually enough. Regarding kidney stones and vitamin D, the picture is a bit unclear. In fact the UK government have a web page which says "withdrawn" but it's still up there, I think maybe because it was published for Covid. It says:
" Vitamin D supplements: how to take them safely"
"This guidance was withdrawn on 1 April 2022
This page has been withdrawn because it’s no longer current. Read more about living safely with coronavirus (COVID-19)."
"People who should not opt in
If you are one of the following groups or have any of the following medical conditions, you should not opt in through this process and you should speak to your GP or healthcare professional at your next appointment. There are some groups who need to be particularly careful ....people with high vitamin D levels, kidney stones ....."
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... hem-safely
My wife also has been taking Vit D for well over 20 years and in the mild doseages it does more good than harm , Vit D is a major thing and lacking it can make you unwell a little top up is not going to harm you and again don't read up on the net unless you are qualified to do so , my illnesses if i read up on them would have me ordering a coffin tomorrow if you get me , just listen to the doc and i know some say docs get it wrong but over a Vit D issue nothing mush to get wrong , and causing stones hmmm i would think you would have to be on a max dose they have to tell you all the possible side effect these days , lol if i read all mine i would never take the meds , as long as your not allergic or have a reaction to a med then go with it .
Good luck and as i said my wife takes a small dose every day and well never had a stone , she might have thrown a few at me over the years on the allotment lol "Oi is that tea brewed yet " "Oi can you move the wheelbarrow you left it in my way"
It mentions some reasearch that found no clear link. Then it says "A 2016 meta-analysis (a method for combining data from multiple studies) by New Zealand researchers included 19,833 participants and again found no connection between vitamin D supplementation dose or duration and kidney stones."
And
"The largest study to look at vitamin D and the risk of kidney stones came out of Harvard Medical School. These scientists studied a whopping 45,616 individuals over a 14 year period. What did they find? You got it – no increased risk of kidney stones with vitamin D."
Then it mentions a couple of studies that reckon people with vit D deficiency are MORE likely to get stones.

Re: Value Range foods compared
I am glad you have found a good reason to take Vitamin D. Our doctor blood tested my wife because she was extremely weak and tired. She had just overcome cancer ,and was concerned obviously. Simple Vitamin D has sorted her problems. I hope it does for you too.

Yeah I was gonna check with the doc, but I think I'll just take them. Still not seen a consultant about the stones, still on the waiting list. I have to re-do my B12 test. I was negative on diabetes. Got to take Statins, but was pretty low on heart/stroke risk. They want me to test for Calcium after taking D, but I have loads of that anyway for the kidney stone diet. I just eat a bit of dairy with everything.jansman wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 4:41 pm I am glad you have found a good reason to take Vitamin D. Aldi Essentials wholemeal bread 39p. I just use this now. Bread or toast, it's fine. Their Highland Early whisky, £15.49 litre is good stuff, I like it as much as Grants, which is sometimes on offer at Sainsburys for £16.
Aldo Everyday pizza 75p is as nice as any, and is lower in salt than all other pizzas! I just with they sold loose mushrooms and had paper bags.
Sainsbury's Mary Ann yoghurt is cheap, although it did jump in price 30%. But it's quite watery so I'm not convinced it's better value.
Still getting to odd bargain using Sains Smart Shop app, but not so many recently. They do sometimes have some decent offers that are for everyone. Quorn sausages down from £2.50 to £1.50 at the moment, still.
Re: Value Range foods compared
Ok hope this counts as on subject , anyone know of a good chicken seasoning can be lemon but not hot chilli we just don't like hot stuff , i use to make my own but well these days just don't use it enough so looking for a ready made one , i see most have huge amounts of salt so a low salt would help but not a big requirement , ok well also anyone know of a good all purpose seasoning as everyone i read on amazon is full of hot chilli now not sure why everything has so much chilli i think to kill people taste buds so that can sell meat covered in it like the old chinese takeaway you like fried lice with that lol .

Did you ever try my* recipe for Jeera** Chicken? It's neither hot nor spicy and very moreish. Dead simple, too.
viewtopic.php?p=222445#p222445
* Mr's Dinn's recipe
** Pronounced Zeera
For regular roast chicken, I just use a mix of onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper rubbed in with a blob of olive oil.
