Assume the internet is down and you are having to bug out at home. Might be due to power cuts, SHTF, whatever.
What reference books would you want on your book shelf? Not thinking "type of" recommendations but specific recommendations. So eg, not "a good first aid book" but "XYX by Fred Smith" etc.
For starters:
SAS Survival Guide -Collins Gem - John Wiseman
The Bush Craft - boxed set - Dave Canterbury
Knots - Collins Gem
A Barefoot Doctors Manual - English Translation
Preppers Library
Re: Preppers Library
I will add: Food for Free by Richard Mabey. Quite an old book but still useful today.

Re: Preppers Library
Thought I’d add to this post (even if I’m very late to it) as I love books. These are the books I’ve bought paperback/ hardback copies of (all my other ‘preppie’ books are on my kindle):
The New Complete Book of Self-Sufficiency by John Seymour
The Forager’s Calendar by John Wright (really useful to know what can be eaten safely in the countryside - already eat wild garlic and nettles but there’s a whole lot more I knew nothing about)
Veg in One Bed by Huw Richards (I’m new to veg gardening but have been flower gardening for years)
SAS Suvival Guide by John ‘Lofty’ Wiseman (I keep this one in my BOB)
I’ve got loads of books on keeping chickens from years ago as I started that hobby pre-internet!
Currently looking to buy a medical emergency type book /dental diy (yikes) but haven’t picked one yet …

Re: Preppers Library
Probably not the best idea to have it an audiobook.
I should get it on paperback.

I’ve just noticed I was also listening to The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett. Now that’s well recommended!
