Probably decided to drop in having not been invited to all the gardening and walking i've been doing recently. Am hoping that following a hearty breakfast of Ibuprofen and Steroids he'll bugger off instead of staying for the long weekend...
Good luck with that, Gerald.

I put in a big order to B&Q last weekend, and it slowly arrived this week, in *three* different deliveries, plus one that was delayed so badly they said they'd deliver it another day. That was today - it turned up 4 hours before they told me, and shrugged when I said their email said they required a signature. Nope. I mean, I'm quite glad, but I wish I'd known that!

While waiting around, I cleaned out the fridge  god, it was horrible  but at least I can store some of the extra food preps I've bought - mad stuff like 500g turmeric, 2kg dried fruit, yet more toilet rolls, classy stuff 8-)

ETA - woah, just seen Y/Andy's post. Poor you! I've been standing up and sitting down today as an exercise, while watching for the dratted deliveries, I'd better watch that stuff like that doesn't happen. Hope it heals soon.
If you're upstairs when they ring the doorbell, don't rush down the stairs (assuming you have them). Very dangerous. Take your time and use the hand rail.

I do a few balance exercises these days, like standing on one leg. Also I use a balance disc, standing on both legs.

Been chipping away at the allotment a bit more. Word is I passed inspection on cultivation targets but got marked down on structures and some weeds, So last few days been busy taking assorted bits of old junk odd site. Old bits of carpet and lino that predated my tenancy. Lots of trips to the tip.

Also, today my ecoflow stream arrived. The solar panels due to be mounted Sunday. The stream came with the consumer unit connecting cable, so plug on and be damned.

Is anybody else affected by the shortage of co-codamol? Chemist says they can't get it anywhere. I'm going to need something else sorted out soon.

I’ve got a months supply of prescription strength pills, want a strip?

No problems up in Auld Reekie but that could change.

There is a national shortage of the prescription strength versions. Suspect the prescription alternatives would be Tramadol. However, when my RA is really bad I take paracetamol combined with Ibuprofen but staggered. They are safe together.

I can’t take ibuprofen, I’m on Lisinopril as my BP was slightly high and if I take both, it raises the chance of a heart attack.

It sucks getting old.

I once got the 3rd degree from a Tesco pharmacy worker she wasn't happy to give me a box of cocodamol ... "You tried paracetamol and ibuprofen.. ?" "No you need to try that first" ... "No I can't take ibuprofen hence I want cocodamol "

She still wasn't happy i don't look like the average junkie
And continued trying to stall..

So I pulled out me pre operation paperwork from the maxiofacial department and pointed out the self treatment pre operation "take cocodamol x times a day" more than the standard script....

Well she got the pharmacist who on seeing the note offered to do a pharmacy link so I could get them on my pre paid prescription card

I'm on the high strength effervescent ones too. KF - that was kind of you to offer, ta. What I'll do is mention to the pharmacist that there isn't a prob in Edinburgh - yet anyway. Maybe they can try the wholesalers up there. I'm on Lisinopril as well with other stuff - will ask the pharmacist what I can and can't take. It's for arthritis in the spine. That's one aspect of prepping I never took seriously - what to do when meds get scarce. Thank god it's not toothache or an abcess anyway
