I always like to have a poke around the middle of Lidl, especially when its a Parkside tool week. However, always been a bit concerned about quality. As such, done a bit of digging.
Parkside equipment is not made by Lidl - they buy it in from a generic equipment manufacturer. Turns out their primary supplier is a company called Grizzly Tools. https://grizzlytools.shop/eng
Grizzly design the equipment, which is then outsourced to China (obviously) but Grizzly provide oversight on quality etc. Grizzly then just repackage the equipment with the Parkside branding. They also do the same for Aldi (under the Ferrex and Silvercrest names), plus a number of other brands.
Another manufacturer is Kompernas, which is part of the Schwarz group (that owns Lidl and several other European outlets).
BQ/Screwfix work in a similar manner but they use the Kingfisher Group (Positec).
If you go to the grizzly link about, you can find most of the Lidl/Aldi equipment, plus spares for them.
