The supermarket own brand baby sterilising tabs are the same ingredients as Milton. The Asda one used to have the instructions on it to purify water but I dont know if that is still on there.
With the gov guidance changes, all baby steriliser tablet suppliers may find themselves told to include water purification information on their packets.
Update: Looks like most supermarkets have quit doing their own brand tablets. Tesco is the exception. https://www.tesco.com/shop/en-GB/products/302169753
Everyone has gone to UV or steam sterilisation. Which begs the question. What will parents to to sterilise bottles if the power goes out? Time for a power outage conversation if you have any babies in the family?

Might get some iodine tablets in going by the news.
Trump apparently is planning on nuking Iran after the mid-terms according to some news reports. Of course the source is that Tucker Carlson so make of that what you will.
I may as well stock up the pasta, porridge, honey and stock cubes while I am at!

Age limits: Adults over 40 generally do not need KI unless recommended by officials during heavy exposure, as their risk of thyroid cancer is very low.
That's me safe then.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

TY everybody, will check Tesco and if no use then will go for Milton. I haven't got much water so it won't matter.

Never knew that. Mental age is about 15, body is in my 50s and my knees and shoulders are about 200 today. Auld King Tut’s knees are more flexible….
I do actually need to get more porridge oats though.

Iodine is not a magic bullet for radiation. It protects your thyroid gland from absorbing radioactive iodine if it is taken before you are significantly exposed to radioactive iodine. It does not protect against any other types of radiation and as already stated is of limited benefit to adults.

Into our second week of constant rain so decided to abandon our ship to the mud and go out hiking today looking for anything useful growing in the forests and hedgerows. Returned laden down with sloe berries, rosehips, hawthorn berries and goji berries along with a decent quantity of fat wood and a good sized pheasant. Also detoured to one of our village farmers' fields on the way back to take up his offer of harvesting a few daikons and horseradish.
Productive but an extremely wet and enjoyable day though it does mean the "to do" list has got even longer.
We still have to finish harvesting our own rosehips, goji berries, quince and peppers along with slaughtering a goat that we have bartered for some locally homemade Rakija. Good quality Rakija has so many uses you can never store too much of it.
Tomorrow (unfortunately) I have to head into "civilization" to get all the empty gas cylinders filled along with the petrol & diesel jerry cans topped up ready for winter then make our annual collection of medical supplies for the animals.

Stashed away extra oats and dehydrated potato flakes in 1L jars with Mylar. I remembered extra water too!
