Used to live in the mid-kent area (Medway) then went walkabout for a few years and ended up settling in Thanet as you say. :) If it goes south and you need a fast exit, I'm also about 5 mins from a harbour full of boats. ;)

Hi Alleycat, thanks. :)

Unless you mean the other sticky out bit, but its a bit flat there to have any cliffs?!
No that's definately too flat for cliffs. :D

Bit tricky answering atm because of the moderation queue but I expect there's a post/time limit to that. (I run a quite large php forum myself so although I don't use it, I understand the need for it and admin approval btw). :)

Well as far as the Kent regions are divided, I'm technically south Kent. But from a mapping perspective I'm mid Kent! (Ashford).

I'll keep the evac route in mind, I have one similar but via Dover instead. No, not by ferry! Haha!

Yes, unfortunately prepping tends to attract a larger than average amount of people with fringe beliefs! Hence the moderation queue requirement ;)

Hehe, not too far away, I'm in Ramsgate, way up on the cliff top 5 mins from the harbour. :)

Re: Moderation, I can understand that. :) I get plagued by Spam Bots but they're easily controllable via Admin Registration and the mass delete options of the ACP. When we get a human spammer they don't last very long before one of the Mods spots em. ;)

Hi diamond lil, ah Scotland I see, absolutely fantastic country, I lived there for a few years back in the early 2000s and loved the place to bits, been back a few times exploring too and it still has sooo much I haven't seen. :)

Now there's a place a prepper can get some peace and quiet and survive quite nicely away from the cities and population areas.

Apart from the High winds, rain, horrible growing conditions, long nights, short days, snow, hail, but good to get away from all the ones who headed south to warm weather, good growing conditions, long days, short nights ;)

All we need now is a good bit of rain to fill the aquifers
