I suppose mine can be fussy to a degree, but then most children have some veg etc that they dont eat. My eldest doesnt like red meat (K is 9yrs old) but luckily we dont eat it often on a ration diet, Middle kid (N is 6yrs old) doesnt like cheese, which is good because thats also on ration (and rediculous in price), little (E is 3.5) doesnt like red meat, fish, green vegetables, sauces, gravy or her food touching... which knocks out most things.
Still theyre sat there with the pre-set menu meal and they eat it... because pudding and bed arent far behind.
Little E is probably the owrst for fussiness, as she is too little to threaten with no pudding and doesnt respond to emotional blackmail (LOL),
but... a large plate with dry, non- touching, carrots, bread and butter, a spoon full of gren veg and one of meat seems to make its way through the teeth and round the gums.
As the rationing diet continues even the littlest rationer in our household is understanding that whats on your plate IS IT. Mother is not going to make 5 different meals for everyone.
Can a family survive on wartime rations?

Two superb links there Su,Thankyou. I think in late Summer, when the garden is in full-flow and the fowls are laying,it may be fun to try that diet for perhaps just a week. Got me thinking now...
BTW,was red-wine on ration!

Hi Rationing Revisited (RR from now on, if you don't mind) that sounds like you are really going for the diet. Would love to hear more about that.
