if things were really bad i expect trees would be felled across roads and canals to stop people moving about i also expect signposts to be torn down to further hamper movement. When you think about it people that live outside the cities would be happy to have travel curtailed.

I think avoiding the locks in cities would be a good idea. If there was any problems that should occur I would be well prepared. Weapons on board the boat for protection. Route planning is always a must when on the waterways. Whether armageddon and anarchy reigns or not.

i think it`ll be a case of who ever and what ever i can fit in and on my discovery when the time come`s . the idea of leaving for me is a very last resort . were to go is some thing i`ve been thinking alot about latley . maybe the mountains of wales or the farms around rainford . i know the farms would be a prime target for looters looking for a free feed . or maybe the lookout tower in horwich .

Not sure the mountains of Wales would be such a good idea. The population of Wales is quite high... Even in the non suburban areas like countryside. (I used to live there). I think you have to get a medium. Somewhere thats not very populated. Safe. And also has local resources to gain any supplies if you run out. I've been thinking bout trade. What sort of stuff to collect if paper money was void. Metal coins, Jewellery, gold etc..

they did that in the last war so that, if we got invaded, the Germans would get lost

better still, get out there, and really KNOW your area like the back of your hand, travel it until you can find your way in the pitch dark cos chances are you will have to bug out in the dark.

i am not sure about wales being such an issue although there are a few places with large populations (swansea, newport, etc) the countryside in wales is some pretty tough terrain and i have no problem in thinging any yobs or city folk that venture out there will starve, freeze or get injured pretty fast.

I live in a new part of my town and as such i think would be a target for low lifes who want to help themselves to what i have, so bugging out is m only option at this time. On the plus side its on the edge of the countryside, so a 7 minute walk has me right into fields and wooded areas. Then off to my bug out location, in a wooded area next to a river. Until such time as i can move to a more secluded home that's what I'm doing.
