New member from Gloucestershire / Worcestershire boarder

Post by Titchtonka »

Hi All

Im a new member that lives very close to the Gloucestershire / Worcestershire boarder.

I am in my early 30's and have a young family (Two daughters 6 & 2 years old) also my father is a prepper of sorts.

My reason for wanting to prep is that I know, Like most people here, the world can not continue the way it is, expendential growth of the population is just unsustainable and will inevitble lead to more ways for the SHTF, financial meltdown, war, pandemic's are all things that concern me.

I have not yet done any specific prepping, however if I was to collect all of my camping and survival gear up I would have a good start, My father has a massive amount of camping and survival gear - he has not collected this as an acknowledged prepper, But I suppose he has been a prepper without really calling himself a prepper for some time now.

I dont have much money to spend prepping, so will be looking for ways to prep on a budget, especially prepping on knowledge and building up small supplies as and when finances allow.

In the spring if I can afford it I want to purchase a .22 rimfire, but want this for target shooting and bunnying rather then prepping but suppose many thing you buy are not specifically for prepping however will come in very usefull in a SHTF situation.

If I had the money I would be building a large underground bunker with full NBC protection, But alas this is just a pipe-dream until my plan to win the lottery is implented!

Hi Preppingsu

Where abouts in Gloucestershire are you based? I am from Tewkesbury-Under-Water, But I decided to buy a house on a hill so dont get wet feet like most of the town every time we have a light shower and the rivers flood!

How long have you been prepping for?

I tried to send you a private message but couldnt, Not sure if my browser blocked it, It seems to block so much that I dont want it to, Or I could be limited as I am a new member that has made less then 10 post's so far (Think this is number 10, woop woop)

Be nice to get to know some local preppers.

Cheers Titch
