edam cheese
edam cheese
got a ball of edam cheese on offer at tesco 55p a kilo as its still whole will it keep like if you wax it your self it still as the red stuff on the out side and how long will it keep if it will keep for a good time i will get some more
Re: edam cheese
I beleive you can seal any hardish cheese for quite some time in food wax, so you could have a variety of them.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.
Re: edam cheese
is the red stuff on the out side of edam wax or would i need to take it off the cheese and then wax it
Re: edam cheese
It's wax.
Should be ok for a while if you can keep it away from temperature fluctuations.

i did look in costco last weekend at a full block of chedder , now i can`t remember the full price but i`m thinking about getting a block and 5kg`s of wax and doing my own .
