edam cheese

got a ball of edam cheese on offer at tesco 55p a kilo as its still whole will it keep like if you wax it your self it still as the red stuff on the out side :?: and how long will it keep :?: if it will keep for a good time i will get some more

I beleive you can seal any hardish cheese for quite some time in food wax, so you could have a variety of them.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

is the red stuff on the out side of edam wax or would i need to take it off the cheese and then wax it

It's wax.

Should be ok for a while if you can keep it away from temperature fluctuations.

where is the best place to keep it long term at the moment its in the fridge :?:

just got back from tesco`s , edam ,full ball 9.89p .that was £5.50 kg . a decent price i thought .
i did look in costco last weekend at a full block of chedder , now i can`t remember the full price but i`m thinking about getting a block and 5kg`s of wax and doing my own .
YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .
