Binos in kit?

Post by Maddosammo »

Not sure whether to post this here or in the EDC or BOB section so if wrong could admin or mods move to the correct place.

Anyway, I was wondering how many people carry a pair of binoculars in there kit? I carry a small field set in my EDC and that is attached to my BOB also , I was just wondering as if I was in a SHTF situation I would like to know what was a descent range infront of me so I knew what I was getting myself and my party involved in and possibly moving through.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

Sam

Also I apologise if this has already been posted, it's late and it's a school night and I'm tired.

Night all.

Yeah it is always a bit of kit that I like to incorporate into my EDC, even if its not a SHTF scenario. Can always come in handy.

I have a monocular, not that powerful, but better than my old eyes. :)
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

I have a small pair I carry in my fishing jacket.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Monocular are good prefer them in some respects, can wear them on a lanyard or attached to a clip on something.

I have a small telescope.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

It folds down to about 6". It weighs about 8oz and is made by Tasco. My Wife bought it for me years ago, and it is just, there, in my jacket pocket. I am sure there a smaller lighter ones now, but this was a good'un.
