And, if you write posts alluding to shooting domestic animals then you have to expect a heated response from some members. Re-read your post, I think you'll see that the message was pretty clear that you wanted to kill a specific cat in the neighbourhood.

Yep. Dogs warn of intruders and deter attack - cats kill rodents that spread disease. All part of preps.
