What got me into Prepping?
Well I've always kept spare batteries, candles and a spare torch at hand in the house,the usual stuff. But, I would say that that is more common sense than Prepping.
Now this is the point where I put my head above the parapit, and you will think that I've lost it!
I read the Times, and a few years ago. Whilst reading the letters to the Editor page. A correspondent had written in to say Global Warming was a load of rubbish. And if you wanted to know where we were really going with the climate, you should look at this website. The website was called Iceagenow, run by a chap called Robert Felix. Was being the word, as it was hacked into and disabled, the servers could do nothing to rectify it. So Robert started afresh, his new site is call Iceagenow.info, all one word if you choose to Google it.
Intrigued, I had a look. It has been his two websites that got me into Prepping. You see Robert through careful research has come to the conclusion, hence the names of his websites. That, we are on the verge of a new Ice Age.
Now that sounds like fantasy doesn't it! I've done abit of research myself, unfortunately the Planet like clock work goes through a cycle, you have 100.000 years of an Ice Age, then 11.500 years of what is called an Interglacial Period. Guess what period we are at the end of?
Now, to base ones future on one particular website alone is madness, I hear you cry. Unfortunately, due to my own research, I have found out that most Astrophysicists in th world are warning that we are approaching a very long period of Global Cooling, and that if we are lucky we will enter a Mini Ice Age, if we are lucky, that is
Have you ever heard of a UK Astrophysicist called Piers Corbyn. Now, Mr Corbyn runs a private Weather Service called Weatheraction. He sells long range forecasts, to corporations and Farms, all over the world. The thing is he won't tell you what the weather will be like on a particular day. But he will tell you what a season will be like. He is seldom wrong.
In October 2010, the Met Office predicted that we would have a mild winter!!! Mr Corbyn went public and warned that December 2010 would be "LIKE HELL FROZEN OVER". He went public to warn people of what was around the corner. He wasn't wrong was he. This year back in March, the Met Office announced that we would have a drought until Christmas, Mr Corbyn announced that, "We would have a year without Summer". He got that one right hasnt he?
He has know, Publicly stated that we are heading into a Little Ice Age.
I can go on and on, but I would be here all day. Please don't take my word for it.
Go to Iceagenow.info and have a good look. As you scroll down the page, you will read reports of Weather from all over the world, Extreme weather, weather happening now, weather that is not being reported my the the Mainstream media. If you are worried about Solar Flares, click on the picture of the Sun, this will take you to the excellent Landscheidt.info site. As you scroll down you come to Categories. All are interesting. However, their are two which are of interest. The first one is called Fighting for Food, look for the entry's for 24th November 2012 and the 2nd of September 2012, which concern British Farmers and us all to be frank!
The second one is the Ice Age Imminent reports, here you will find articles which will explain How, Why and Where, the climate is REALLY heading.
Unfortunately I believe that the cycle has already started. It has nothing to with Man-made Global warming or Co2. It's all down to the Sun. Check out the Iceagenow.info website, it will explain it much better than I can. Make yourself a cup of Tea or Coffee, it will soon go cold!
I hope I haven't gone on to long!! I haven't put any links into the above websites, because quite frankly I haven't a clue on how to do it, from an iPad.
