I saw this on another site so thought I would do some looking around and found a video on youtube.

Re: Sawdust stove
Very nice, as the guys says it works just like a rocket stove.
I have trouble finding smaller oil type drums like that but have plenty 205 litre drums to play with lol

Re: Sawdust stove
Anyone in the Belfast area who wants to try this, my mate owns a floor sanding company and is always looking to offload an unholy amount of sawdust.

Re: Sawdust stove
Does it matter how fine sawdust it is like the floor standings or does it need to be more larger flakes ?

Re: Sawdust stove
i would have said larger flakes, but the fines stuff could maybe compact more. i have never tried this stuff so i have not a clue.

Re: Sawdust stove
I'd imagine it would produce more heat as there aren't as many air pockets to insulate, also allowing for more fuel.
Or it could make it more difficult to use because there aren't (air) spaces for the ash to fall down allowing access to more sawdust.
I sense the need for an experiment!
