I dunno, it doesn't say what the expiry or lifetime of these are.

I can see having one or two for emergency but for longer term I am happier with the approach to touring what you eat regularly as introducing something like this 'just in case' might be more trouble than its worth.

If like mountain house stuff it has a 25 year life then it's a different matter but I don't think it will.

I understand that these things last for years as they are effectively the same as canning/bottling, I have eaten stuff like these in the past that are ten years old.

As part of the preppers motto goes, rotate, rotate, rotate! so if you are testing your system of bug in/bug out or like a bit of living in the wilderness (in the UK, hmmm) then you will be using them at least once a year.

I don't feel that paying over inflated prices to leave in a can for 25 years plus is the best way to go.

Have had an email exchange with Adam Priston over at their offices and got this in reply.

Of course, the packs have a best before of around 3 years from production, but they are fine to eat after 6, 7, 8 + years

That's probably more than enough for most people to store for using rotation of stores and for practice purposes
