mylar bags

Post by UrbanNinja »

Hey peeps noob here. I'm looking into getting some Mylar bags and bits but need advice on where to purchase them from and how to use them. What would be a good thing to store in them and the best way of storing them?

Thanks

no....this is all new to me,oxygen absorbers?.........these sound good....are these the crystals one finds in a new guitar case to keep the moist out?
Oxygen absorbers are small packets used to prolong the shelf life of food, you can find them in bags, etc. when you buy something but the CC is low, probably not strong enough for a 15kg bag of food. There is a post on here about Mylar Bags and Oxygen Absorbers on here: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=5411

Hi Dave welcome!!

You can get from The Mylar Bag Store UK : http://stores.ebay.co.uk/The-Mylar-Bag-Store-UK

The are currently having a 20% closing down sale so you can get 20 - 10 x 16 - 4.3mil bags for £12.79 and pack of 10 for £7.19 they also have absorbers for sale.

I have purchased from these people before and full detailed instructions are provided (step by step) and great info on what you can store in mylar bags (for if your not sure)

Hope this helps :D

Yeah its a real shame have always bought from them (seller used to be named 2103michelleb)

I know they are self-financed so they lay all the funds out upfront and in this economic climate that's tough, if the big guys like HMV etc who get credit are having financial problems, its even harder for the small guys who some have to use their own money to keep the business going. :(

The seller advise they hope if finance can be arranged at a later date they will reopen - but we all know what the banks are like
