what are here interests? try and related it by the feel, felt, found method. I.E. I know how you feel, I felt the same way, I found .............

One possible solution is to turn the preparation exercise into a 'game' that all members of the family can participate in. She may then find herself out numbered and join in.

I have a similar problem with DW (Dear Wife)
One of the answers 'may' be not to talk in terms of 'prepping'. Unfortunately that word has
major pejorative associations in the UK.
I like to use the same word that HMG (Her Majesty's Government) uses.
