First the Keela Munro jacket - Around £120 on amazon, bought 2 years ago and still going strong, the jacket is designed as a tough hardshell outdoor jacket, first thing I noticed was as an average sized guy the medium had loads of room! Don't size up as your normal size will fit.
Features - Hood, excellent! Has a wire surround and drawcord which together make it fit anywhich way you want! Collar comes up nice and high also meaning the elements are well kept out. The jacket also has a removable snow skirt which is designed to fit onto salopettes. Extra material around the elbows and rear giving a wee bit of extra toughness. It has a number of zipped air vents for the warmer days which provide a nice air flow but do not allow rain in on the normal warm and wet NI days. Extremely waterproof and windproof overall, outside for 6 hours in gale force beating wind and rain conditions and my friends Berghaus jacket started to throw in the towel the Munro kept me dry!
The main downside I can find is it has no fleece lining so when stopped I noticed I got a little cold, this leads onto the purchase of the Belay jacket! Overall I rate this jacket highly and wouldn't be without it, good price for good kit, what mores needed!
The Keela Belay jacket was bought to supplement the Munro on really cold days! £50 of amazon (I swear I'm not a sales rep but so far its been the cheapest!) Got this wee jacket to be worn under the munro but it has fast become my no.1 all condition jacket! Softshell front zipped jacket filled with permaloft (cheaper artificial down), extremely light and very easy to squash down so easily added to a kitbag as an extra layer. It comes marketed as ''water resistant'' but so far when caught short in worse rain than expected it has held up well and dried out very fast, warmth wise its great, windproof and keeps the heat in for that nice toasty feeling.
Two great jackets to take into consideration if you are thinking of changing / renewing and want abit less than northface etc!
