I've been looking for BOLs as well - Do you have any friends or relations out of town? What sort of transport have you got available to BO? Might you be better digging in?
Any time you are out in the countryside just keep your eyes open. I recently spotted an old water tower that might take a bit of work to get into, but would comfortably house me and my family and our stores for a while. (planning a trip with some friends with some climbing gear to check it out soon).

Personally I think the best plan for bugging out is to scout places well in advance and revisit often in case they change - that nice secluded valley might have an old peoples home in it next year.
Watch the news and if possible leave before the rush, if SHTF there will be millions of people out in the countryside looking for food - Always better to have an impromptu week away camping with a wind up radio and nothing happen, than SHTF and you get stuck.
I'd probably be better starting a thread than just saying Hi lol
Unwise advice from my grandmother - Don't worry, it might never happen and if it already has it's too late to worry.

well with bol's i dont think it would b wise to dig in around the area i live :S.... but i do live about 3 mins from endless countryside and as i have a quad i plan on using that as a quick escape since i can load items onto my quad aswell. im thinking of going high as high above sea level as i can with in decent range but i dont mind travvaling. my only family members live like 20 mins from me apart from my uncle that lives in leeds. going to go exploring next weekend goin to do a bit of searching on google maps 1st. was watching doomsday preppers and want one of the hard cashes they store bits n bobs in. wish i started prepping ages ago !!!!!
