Microwave oven should work too as it is designed to keep radio waves in (just unplug it so no one accidently zapps all your kit!!!)

Just came across an Army ammo tin.
Would this work?
If so, what should I be keeping in it?

Wrap what you are to put in, it in tin foil, then earth it. Can't see why not.

A good way to see if it works is to follow the above with a mobile phone, then ring it. If it dose not ring your ok.

Thank you Leo1

I'm being an idiot, I know, but what will my protected phone get me?
Is it a good idea to buy a cheap 'top up' to stash?
Will others have protected phones?
Will EMP knock out any chance of a signal?

Is there any sense in having a bank card in there or will cash points be obsolete?

Anything like that will be a waste of time, what I keep in my faraday cage. Are a couple of HF/VHF radio's, and an iPad, Laptop.

either i`m missing some thing here or 7ps has missed the point . the Ipad or laptop aren`t for the internet .that would be long gone same as mobile phones . it would how ever be good to store Ebooks on them .
YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .
