My interest in prepping is somewhat a sideline to my work and methinks I might learn something from chatting to other folks on here.
In my own view the traditional (perhaps conventional) view of prepping is that you sit on piles of food and hope you have enough to see you through to the other side of the dark tunnel. If the doodah drops in the pan of civilisation then I would prefer to go feral; utilising my upstate knowledge to scoot around and live off the land, rather than remain in a building which almost certainly will become the focus of attention for marauding packs of hungry people who would almost certainly have little regard for your personal well-being.
Am based in west of England.

Hello and welcome to the Forum.
I think you'll find that most of us on here have started prepping to ward off or due to unemployment, higher bills, injury to name a few of the less than glamourous reasons.
The fact we can use the supplies when the flood driven, nuclear bomb glowing zombies arrive by tornado is just a bonus to us all
