Hello,

Do you want a fixed blade or folding knife?

As far as fixed blades go, you could spend years and a fortune looking for the "right" knife when all the time the perfect one is hiding in plain view, but you pass it over because it's so cheap it can't be any good...can it?

Hultafors GK:

This really is all the knife you'll need for most tasks and it has the bonus of being so cheap you can use it without worrying about hurting it!

Folders? Buck 110.

You know, I read the title as "Best three-quarters of an inch blade knife"

Fixed: My best on a budget (or not on a budget for that matter) Hultafors, the Craftsman for a general blade and the Heavy Duty if you're planning on doing lots of battonning or other abuse* (the HD is a tank)

Folding: My best locker is an Opinel number 8 or a number 7 if you'd like something a bit smaller. If its a EDC you're after it'll have to be a sub three inch edge slip-joint....I've got the wants for a Svord Peasant or a Mini-Peasant ATM, I might have to drop some cash soon

* If you're going to be reducing a lot of firewood or WHY, you'd be better buying an axe or a billhook

Thanks it's 3 to 4 inch blade
Ideally fixed blade can't be a moulded plastic handle either so ideally wood or 2 piece plastic
Cheers
