I've been looking around for a while and finally joined up. I'm not part of the tin foil hat brigade yet but getting there lol.
At the min I'm not planning for the end of the world more a case of prolonged lack of power/water/civil unrest.
I'm sticking to a bug in plan. Secure close door secure front door easily barricaded plus a dog that don't like strangers and happy to bark. Hoping my vision of tshtf the toe rags will look for an easier target.

Plans so far heat, light, food, water
Heat currently all electric buying a paraffin heater and a couple of gallons of paraffin. Ideas of how much paraffin would be helpful.
Light need more candles/tealights plus borrow batt lanterns and tilleys from scouts (in quartermaster and have only key to store)
Food got min 7-10 days in house have made a list of what to buy tinned and dry to take us to a month. Got trangia and single burner plus grab a scout double burner + gas as back up
Water not got any stored yet but thinking just buy in bottled 5/6 litres each per day for a month plus the usual crate of oj and fizzy juice we get from Marko. If enough warning fill scout water cans.

Chemical toilet from caravan and we are sorted for a month

Major prob I have is storage, plan would be to store in lock up at the mother in laws 15 min away. This is also plan b bol

Any civil unrest or power/water cuts should be sorted in a month beyond this will you want to survive dooms day?
Not planning for the end of the world just to survive till normality resumes, while sticking to the scout moto be prepared!

Still considering do I want to survive the end of the world or deck chair on the front lawn with a cold beer?
