Feeling slightly embarassed......

Post by jasper1 »

Morning from a not-so-windy-Yorkshire.....

I'd like to start by saying I used to watch prepping shows for entertainment, and thought they were slightly mad!!!! THEN I got to thinking what would I DO to provide for MY family in the event that I HAD to do without the services we take so much for granted? So here I am.....prepping away, and feeling good about it.....and offering a silent apology to those I mocked from my armchair.

Any-hoo.....I'm fairly new to it all, and just concentrating on the essentials, food (have even waxed some cheese for my pantry), medical, power, water......and generally discovering how to be more self reliant (including a stab at square foot gardening this summer).

Looking forward to learning.......just need a few spare days to absorb all the ideas and info on here.

Hi Japser,

We have all got that 'lightbulb' moment at some point hence the reason we are here. Sounds like you've made a good start.
There's lots of info on the forum to help you, take some time to read.

Welcome.

hello and welcome
i wouldn`t be embarassed about having your eyes opened , we`ve all had that same moment at one time or another . the main thing is that you have and your here , so grab a brew and pull up a chair .
YES i walked away mid sentence , you were boring me to death and my survival instincts kick in .
