Sorry preppingsu, I did write a reply last night but my ipad went wonky and deleted it :D

We've always wanted to live abroad, and a couple of years ago we decided to do it sooner rather than later, while our children are still small. We think it'll be a wonderful experience for them, and at the very least, they'll grow up bilingual. We are planning to move for three years, but may come back sooner, or indeed not at all.

We decided on Central America as the relatively low cost of living there (compared to the UK) means that we can sell our small business and hopefully have enough to live there for a few years without having to work. Also the climate is fantastic (I tend to be miserable from October to March!) and they tend to value family highly, which is something we really like.
