I was going to add face masks, should you be stuck in high traffic area awaiting breakdown, those car fumes are not good to breathe in.

I would hope a cabin filter would filter out most of the nasty stuff. Good idea though

I meant if you had to leave your vehicle to be safe, sorry I wasn't very clear in my post.

Ironically it's a lot of the city car/supermini category of car that don't come with cabin filters to get rid of the nasties in city pollution.
I've no idea what sort of mask might be suitable to filter out Nitrogen Oxides (NO) which is what caused the issues a few months back for asthma sufferers and the elderly.
I'll post what I carry in my car in the linked thread to keep all the info together for anyone using search
