once i get the wood varnished properly i will do a long medium short accending pattern up the timber with tape... so by the time it gets to the upper lights its clear of them
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong
Lack of planning on your part doesn't make it an emergency on mine
Im on hold at the moment till my friendly engineer gets me the angle bar i need to finish the frame (will strip the wood once ive tacked it in place then fully weld, Hammerite the steel then refit the wood then fit a ply wood lid (got the hinges ready)
once wood is fitted it will be sanded flat and varnished with a gloss roller all bolts will be fully tightened top lights wired in properly

Can't beat having a trailer how you like it. I love mine:)
I used aluminium angle for the frame, 1/4" fibreglass lid cover and recently replaced the ply panels as I built it originally about 20 years ago and those had got tired. It takes a cycle each side (having removed pedals and turned handlebars).
My prepping consists of bugging out by bicycle so any comments are likely to be based on that scenario.
Oh, so thats what they are. I thought they might be Jerry racks
Andy: I can't tell from the pictures what profile you've got on the lid (I can't even see if there is a lid fitted ATM).
What are you going for Flat, Ridge, Coffer (like Hoi's), Roll or Turtleback ?
