Thanks for going to the trouble Brambles, I appreciate it. Aye, it looks like it would be no good for Her Maj's plants, tempted to get some for 'just in case', even for downstairs. Hmmm, something else to add to the wishlist. :D

I think it may be better to buy boards, then when SHTF you can board up the downstairs windows like they do in the states. Films are a real bastardo to put on to glass or plastics without tell tale unsightly bubbles.

I could board up my front window my conservatory is a weak spot at the back but I could board the door that leads out to it. In an emergency situation strong adhesive tape across windows in an X works wonders, it's what we did during the blitz
