I think having children tends to make you get up and do it anyway. Not that I am a martyr to my children but when they were smaller there was no point staying in bed if I was ill because I got no peace anyway

Yes, and further to that, there's no point in sitting on your a$$ waiting for some wee fairy to flit in the window and do the housework/get the coal in/do the washing.... you know that nobody else is going to do it so you just get on with it eh.
