Why don't you grow hemp?
Because it is illegal.

Please dont post suggesting members break the law.

There aren't many rules here but that is one of them.
Hi Carrot,

My original post stated that is you have a Notice of Understanding it is not illegal. Anyone can draft a "Notice of Understanding & Intent and Claim of Right" (Google it). Also google Robert-Arthur: Menard & Veronica Chapman.

You send this document to whoever the contents relate to (Local Police, Local Council, Home Secretary, Customs & Excise, etc.) They have 14 days to contest it. If they don't, they have no comeback on you if you do anything you have claimed the right to do. (You have lawful excuse) As long as you do not break the 4 main laws you can do anything that is covered by an Act or Statute and they can't lawfully stop you. Lawful and legal are two very different things. The public need to be educated and empowered.

My Notice of Understanding will allow me to build an earthship, grow hemp, own a gun, and numerous other things that are "Illegal".

Be lucky (and informed)

You can argue the finer points of law somewhere else

You know exactly what was meant by my post.

All the luck in the world to you mate.
Until you've actually done it though, I'm pretty sceptical about the whole lawful v legal stuff.

I’ve heard a lot of talk about it, yet never seen anyone seriously put it in to practice in a significant way. Sure they will turn a blind eye to someone not taxing a car in order to avoid all their legal shenanigans, but own an unlicensed firearm or grow class B drugs....

You can be as right as you want, but if you ask me they will find a way to have you for it.

Thank you for that Triple_Sod. I was trying to say something similar without being abusive and found it impossible.

I remember watching The Wartime Kitchen and Garden, and in that the head gardener grew tobacco in greenhouses (admittedly large ones) so it seems even in England they might need prolonged heat.

Hi Carrot,
Please accept my sincere apologies, it won't happen again.
